As in the 3-position open sectional last month, x’s determined the difference between the gold and silver medal in t
he NRA Conventional Smallbore 4-Position Smallbore Junior Sectional, hosted by Blue Trail Range, in Wallingford, CT. A junior New Hampshire resident by the name of Tobin Sanctuary captured the gold by posting a 394-23x over Connecticut Xavier High School’s falcon Michael Acampora (left in photo) who trailed by a mere six x’s. In the Junior category, just two points separated the 1st thru 5th positions. Tyler Glynn, a senior from Montville High School, led the pack with a 387-11x. Vinal Tech High School senior, Brianna Poissant landed 2nd with her personal best 386. Firing 385’s for 3rd, 4th & 5th places, respectively, were Suffield Academy’s senior Aya Ishikawa (19x), Avon Old Farms senior, Donghee Kim (14x), and Suffield Academy’s Minkwon Choi (12x).
